Packaging Used In Our Everyday Lives
Plastic squeeze tubes are an effective packaging type for many items used in our daily lives like lotion, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, food, and other household products.

As of 2025, it is estimated that approximately 95% of toothpaste tubes and 85% of all HDPE tubes are designs compatible with recycling. Both HDPE and PP tubes are accepted in industry bale specifications from APR and ReMA, indicating that reclaimers are willing and able to process tubes in the bales they purchase.

This site illustrates the critical elements of recyclability being compatible with recycling streams, ability to be collected and sorted for recycling, and acceptance by local recycling programs and the ongoing journey to make that a reality.
Important updates will be documented here, and please always check what your local program accepts.
